“Community in Bloom” will celebrate Carolina Beach’s indigenous birds and wildlife, illustrated through a symbolic Tree of Life that reflects growth, connection, and the shared natural heritage of the region. The mural is designed to inspire residents and visitors alike while honoring the area’s unique coastal ecosystem.
Designed by artist Susan Nuttall, alongside Ashley High School intern artists Jude Watkins and Marshall DeLeon, the mural is the result of months of thoughtful collaboration and creative development. The team has been working behind the scenes to finalize the mural’s title, artistic concept, and installation details, bringing a meaningful and visually rich piece of public art to the heart of the community.
